Welcome on Finistère's islands website

June – The beaches of the Glénan islands

Summer is approaching and the beaches with their fine, white sand are calling. When the sun arrives, it’s time to take a day out and head to the edge of the world, where concrete hasn’t encroached upon the stretches of sand. Leaving from Bénodet, head for the Glénan Archipelago.

In the heart of the lagoon, you will draw alongside Île St Nicolas. From here, you can reach all of the beaches. Lounging around, beach sports, diving… You can do whatever takes your fancy! With its unique flowers and plants, and extraordinary biodiversity, this is an idyllic setting just waiting for you, a few kilometres from the coasts of Finistère. A hint for visitors: do bring a bag to take away your rubbish and don’t forget your suncream!
